Dolly is a been-there-done-that mare that has trail ridden around the Midwest. She is a spectacular trail horse. The video is from trailering to a new place she had never been. When out alone, as you can see, she moves out and covers ground. She is surprisingly athletic for a draft x and navigates terrain like a competitive cross country pro (like in the video when she gallops over a log like it isn’t there). In company, she is half asleep and follows along. She is kid and grandma safe in “normal” circumstances, but when alone, like I said, wants to cover ground faster than would likely be comfortable for beginners, children, etc—but of course I thoroughly enjoy it.
